Design, quality and comfort are at the heart of JITENSHA. No compromise on any of these. Minimalism, purity, sober, french chic make the JITENSHA style. Our bicycles are inspired from Japan, designed in France and hand-assembled on order in our artisan workshop on the Swiss/French border.

MINIMALIST DESIGN

A search for the purity makes the JITENSHA style: sober, a branding reduced to the essentials, for elegant and minimalist urban bikes. It is the Japanese art of living that has inspired in our search for essential, elegance, fluidity, simplicity, purity and poetry.

HAND- ASSEMBLED IN EUROPE

Our mechanics fully assembles your JITENSHA when we receive your order in our Geneva workshop. Every thread is greased, every bolt tightened, and once assembled, every JITENSHA is “human-tested” before being prepared, boxed and shipped to you. We are proud of our Swiss craftsmanship.

CURATED FOR QUALITY

We’ve taken a year to design, select, test, benchmark and fine tune all our parts. Our selection has focused on design, performance and quality.

FAIR AND SIMPLE PRICING

To make you want to create and ride at the right price, we’ve decided to focus on online sales. And to make it simple, there are only 5 prices* for JITENSHA. It only depends on the frame colour you choose, all other parts will have no impact on price: 690 € (Black and White), 740 € (Concrete and Whisky), 790 € (Chrome), 890€ (Copper).

*price for a single speed. +130€ for 2 Speeds and +1380 for E-JITENSHA (including shipping in France and Switzerland and shipping insurance)

FRAME MATERIAL COUNTS

Our frames are hand-made using double-butted Cr-Mo 4130 steel (chromoly). This steel alloy is the most suitable for city bicycles. It delivers superior comfort to other trendy materials (aluminium, titanium or carbon). It has a natural flex to absorb the road vibrations. Comparing to standard Steel, Cr-Mo has double the strength and this enables to gain significant weight whilst having the ideal balance of strength, weight and durability.
